Vision of the Man in White

It is not a secret that some Muslims are seeing a vision of a man dressed in white. Some were healed after the encounter, others were shown the truth, and yet others were told to follow the man in white. This usually happens during Ramadan, when a person is seeking God intently. If you are reading this, then you might know a person who encountered this or you have seen the man in white.

This is not by accident and is of a supernatural order. We believe this is God reaching out to those specific people. There is a historical origin to this type of supernatural encounter. Let me tell you about a person, with whom it all began. This was before Muhammad’s birth, it was during the first century that these encounters started to happen. There was a person by the name of Saul. He was a very religious man and loved God with his mind, body, and soul. During this time in history, there were only Jews who believed in one God. All others were pagans and God haters. Saul despised not only pagans but anyone who did not worship God properly and that brought shame to his name. The Jewish leaders loved that about Saul and gave Saul authority to persecute anyone who is trying to corrupt the one true faith. During that time, if a person blasphemes God, such as; claim that there is another God, they were to stone that person to death. As you may know, there was a particular sect of Jews formed called the “Way,” that believed that Jesus was the Messiah and that God raised him from the dead. This was blasphemous to the rest of the Jews. Jews crucified Jesus for claiming that he was the “Son of Man.” This is a reference to Daniel 7:13-14

13 “I saw in the night visions,
and behold, with the clouds of heaven
there came one like a son of man,
and he came to the Ancient of Days
and was presented before him.
14 And to him was given dominion
and glory and a kingdom,
that all peoples, nations, and languages
should serve him;
his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom one
that shall not be destroyed.

And if Jesus was raised from the dead that meant that his claim was vindicated by God himself. This idea was blasphemous to Saul because anyone who claimed to be the “son of man” was equating himself to God. Saul took this to heart and was out to eradicate this sect from Judaism. They were lost, he thought, and he took it as far as approving stoning of Stephen. Stephen was one of the followers of that Jewish sect. Stephen was speaking to Jewish leaders about Jesus when they took him in for questioning. After being unable to refute what he was telling them, they became furious at him to the point of gnashing their teeth. And finally, Stephen said something that escalated things to stoning, “Look, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” At that point, they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, dragged him out of the city and stoned him to death. After the fact, witnesses laid their coats at the feet of Saul. Showing Sauls authority in this matter and obedience to his verdict about Stephens claims. After that event, a great persecution broke out in Jerusalem against the sect. Everyone scattered except for the most devout followers.

Saul was not satisfied and breathing murderous thoughts against all the members of the sect. He heard that Damascus has another large group from the sect the “Way.” He asked the Jewish High Priest to give him authority over the city of Damascus. The High Priest was glad to give it to him. And he was off to a city of Damascus. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, and he saw a man dressed in White. He fell to the ground and heard the man in white tell him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” Saul asked, “Who are you?”. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting, Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” What is interesting is that Saul had companions with him, but they did not see anything but only heard sounds. This was the first time this appearance of a man in white started happening. This story resonates with you if you saw the same man in white. Most likely he claimed that he was Jesus. At this point, there is no text or book in the world can refute your experience because of it being a real encounter with God. You know what you saw. It was Jesus who was crucified and shows himself in a resurrected form to certain people throughout history. The claim is simple, God raised Jesus from the dead to vindicate Jesus’s claim about himself. He is the Messiah of the world.

If you have not realized, Jesus does not shows himself to every person. If you saw Jesus or your friend, take this seriously, follow what the voice tells you. Greatness is in front of you. Saul in our story is non-other than Apostle Paul of Christ. He wrote 28% of the new testament, and he is the hero in the book of Acts. God chose him to bring the word of God to all the Gentiles. If it were not for Paul, Christianity would not exist, nor would Islam. We have him to thank by following the voice of Jesus, the man in white. God has chosen you for something significant if he has personally appeared to you in a vision or a dream.
