Unless stated otherwise, this Policy applies when you use LD websites, apps, APIs, or related services (“Services”), and to prospective customers of our business products.
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Services.

When you create an account and use the Services, including via a third-party platform, we collect any data you provide directly, including:

The data above is stored by us and linked to your account. LD’s use and transfer of information from Google APIs, such as instructor-uploaded content, will comply with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you access the Services (including browsing content), we automatically collect certain data, including:
- System Data
- Usage Data
- Approximate Geographic Data
The data above is collected via server log files and tracking technologies, as detailed in the “Cookies and Data Collection Tools” section below. It is stored by us and linked to your account.
2. How We Get Data About You
2.1 Cookies and Data Collection Tools
We use cookies, small text files stored by your browser, to collect, store, and share data about your activities across websites, including LD. LD and our service providers (like Google Analytics and third-party advertisers) use server log files and automated tools like cookies, tags, scripts, device/browser fingerprints, and web beacons (“Data Collection Tools”) when you use the Services. These tools automatically track certain System Data and Usage Data. Sometimes, we link this data to other information we collect as described in this Privacy Policy.

- With Instructors: We share data (excluding your email) to help them improve their content.
- With Other Students and Instructors: Depending on your settings, your shared content and profile data may be publicly viewable.
- With Service Providers: We share your data with third-party companies performing services on our behalf, like payment processing and marketing.
- With Affiliates: We share data within our corporate family to support our Services.
- With Business Partners: We share data with partners to distribute our Services and drive traffic.
- With Credit-Granting Organizations: We share data with organizations for continuing education credit.

However, no system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee complete protection. Your password is crucial to our security; do not share it. If you suspect your account is compromised, change your password immediately and contact our Support Team.
6. Your Rights
6.1 Your Choices About the Use of Your Data
You can choose not to provide certain data, but this may limit your use of some features.
To stop receiving promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email or update your preferences in your account. Note that we will still send you transactional messages about the Services.

To opt out of tailored advertising, visit the opt-out pages for the Network Advertising Initiative, Digital Advertising Alliance, Your Online Choices (EEA), Digital Advertising Consortium (Japan), Google Ads Settings, and Taboola’s Cookie Policy.
To opt out of analytics by Google Analytics, Mixpanel, ZoomInfo, or Clearbit, use their specific opt-out tools.
Check privacy settings on your device or operating system for controlling in-app tailored advertising.

6.2 Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Your Personal Data
You can access and update your personal data with LD as follows:
- To update data: Log into your account and update it anytime.
- To terminate your account: Log into your account and update it anytime.
If you encounter issues, contact our Support Team. Note: Even after termination, some data may remain visible or retained for legal purposes.
- To request access, correction, or deletion: Use our online form, email info@livingdisciple.org, or write to us at Living Disciple, Attn: Privacy/Legal Team, 1020 Walnut Ln, Warrensburg MO, 64093. Please allow up to 30 days for a response. Verification of identity may be required. We retain certain data for lawful purposes, including mandatory record-keeping.
6.3 Our Policy Concerning Children
We prioritize children’s privacy and encourage parental involvement in their online activities. Individuals under 18, but of the legal age for consent (e.g., 13 in the US, 16 in Ireland), can only use the Services if a parent or guardian creates an account for them. Those below the consent age cannot use the Services. If we find that we’ve collected data from a child under the consent age, we will delete it.
Parents who believe LD has collected data from their child can request its removal by emailing info@livingdisciple.org.
7. Jurisdiction-Specific Rules
7.1 Users in California
California residents have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to Know: Request information about the personal data we collect and access a copy.
- Right to Correction: Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: No penalty for exercising CCPA rights.
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To do so, click the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of this page.

California residents can also request details about data shared with third parties for direct marketing by emailing info@livingdisciple.org with “California Shine the Light,” your mailing address, state of residence, and email address.
We do not currently recognize or respond to Do Not Track signals due to the lack of a standard.
7.2 Users in Nevada
LD does not sell users’ personal information. However, Nevada residents can request that we do not sell their personal information by emailing info@livingdisciple.org or writing to us at LD, Attn: Privacy/Legal Team, 1020 Walnut Ln, Warrensburg MO, 64093.
7.3 Users in Australia
If you are an Australia resident with a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) by visiting www.oaic.gov.au, emailing enquiries@oaic.gov.au, calling 1300 363 992, or writing to GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001. To complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles, email our privacy team at info@livingdisciple.org, and we will respond within 30 days.
7.4 Users in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and United Kingdom (“UK”)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you can request access to your data in a portable format, and request its rectification, erasure, restriction, or object to its processing. Use the information in Section 6.2 to submit your request. EEA, UK, or Switzerland residents can also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
Your data is processed outside the UK, Switzerland, and EEA by our group companies or service providers for transactions, payments, and support. We use Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfers from the EEA and have agreements with our processors to regulate data processing. By using our Services, you consent to this data transfer, storage, and processing.
7.5 Data Privacy Framework (for EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss data subjects)
LD complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set by the U.S. Department of Commerce. LD has certified adherence to these frameworks for processing personal data from the EU, UK (and Gibraltar), and Switzerland. For details, visit https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/.
The FTC oversees LD’s compliance with these frameworks. We commit to applying DPF Principles to all personal data received from the EU, UK, and Switzerland. This includes data collection, use, and disclosure as described in Sections 1, 3, and 4 of our Privacy Policy. We remain responsible for personal data shared with third parties under the Onward Transfer Principle and may disclose data for lawful requests.
Individuals can access their personal data (see Section 6.2) and limit its use and disclosure (see Section 6.1).
LD is committed to resolving complaints about our data practices under these frameworks. EU, UK, and Swiss residents can contact us at info@livingdisciple.org for issues. Unresolved complaints may be referred to the International Centre for Dispute Resolution/American Arbitration Association (ICDR-AAA) at no cost. 7.6 Users Outside of the U.S.
To provide the Services, we transfer and process your data in the United States. By using the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
8. Updates & Contact Info
8.1 Modifications to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. If there are significant changes, we’ll notify you by email, on the Services, or as required by law, including a summary of key changes. Changes take effect when posted.
By continuing to use the Services after the changes take effect, you agree to the revised Privacy Policy, which replaces all previous versions.
8.2 Interpretation
Capitalized terms not defined here are as specified in LD’s Terms of Use. Non-English versions of this Privacy Policy are for convenience; the English version prevails in case of conflict.
